MJ - Hamsa Lila's co-founder has been hard at work on a new solo
album project this year while the band has been on hiatus* and will
be doing a headlining set for this unique New Year's Eve event with
a group of top musician-friends and playing new material from the
upcoming album - due out in early February '08.

Shimshai's music has been inspiring fans all over the world these
days with his brand of sacred world music and original songs. He
will be playing a full 1 1/2 hour set before MJ's group goes on.

Shimshai and MJ have been friends, and playing and gigging together
off and on for many years now, and have also developed a 'sound'
together. They will each be playing with the other at certain times
throughout the night.

There will also be a DJ after midnight.

The space is a beautiful teahouse recently opened in the East Bay.

Bring your own drinks.

Tea and some refreshments will be available.
